Â鶹´«Ã½Å®ÍøºìWelcomes New MD Students with Dynamic Accepted Students Day
The College of Medicine at Â鶹´«Ã½Å®Íøºìrecently hosted an Accepted Students Day for the second cohort of medical students offered admission to the college’s 4-Year MD program.
The event began with welcoming remarks from Â鶹´«Ã½Å®ÍøºìPresident and CEO, Dr. David M. Carlisle, and College of Medicine Dean, Dr. Deborah Prothrow-Stith. Dr. Regina Offodile, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Sophia Barrett enlightened attendees about student life and health wellness, while Dr. Arthur Gomez provided insights into the medical school curriculum.
The orientation also featured an engaging HoloLens demonstration and a panel discussion led by representatives from the Â鶹´«Ã½Å®ÍøºìMedical Degree Student Government.
Students from the inaugural cohort were on hand to introduce prospective students to the various faculty-supported interest groups, including Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Women in Medicine.
Additionally, these students showcased the clubs they have spearheaded, such as the Mighty Lion Golfers, Â鶹´«Ã½Å®ÍøºìGardening Club, and the Latino Medical Student Association.
